Derek Chen
Derek is the Co-Founder and CEO of Soleda, an AI platform building trustworthy AI agents with advanced natural language understanding and deep reinforcement learning capabilities. Previously, Derek studied at UC Berkeley and Stanford University before earning a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Washington. He continued to conduct research at Columbia University where he specialized in data augmentation, few-shot learning, and task-oriented dialogue systems, leading to publications at top NLP conferences. He has also deployed conversational AI technology into the real world while working at ASAPP and Cresta.
